  Theatre had it so loud I got hearing damage from the opera scene. Had to ask them to turn it down as I was also the only person in there. Was tempted to leave the volume high in hopes of hearing more dialogue, but risking deafness wasn’t worth it. Clearly a movie you need to see more than once so glad I did before things shut down Regal-wise.

  Well measured movie all around. Visually appealing but not overindulgent. Sciency but not technocentric. Efficient but not stingy in its emotion and heart. Pitt embodies all these aspects as the protagonist. Part 2001, part Tree of Life, all good.

  Yes it is confusing but somehow not in an annoying way. At this point there is no denying that Nolan has some obsession with unintelligible/obfuscated dialogue. But you don’t feel too dumb, especially after you accept that you’re just along for the ride. Pretty stunning technical achievement without great characters, but to have all that would have required a 5 hour movie I guess. Glad to be back in theatre for the movie. I was the only person in there. Will probably go see it again.
