A Complete Unknown 2024
Watched this with people who were teens in the era, and seeing them tear up and quietly mouth along to every song definitely added to the viewing experience.
In 2017, I watched “Don’t Look Back” during a 9am masters class, and caught the Dylan bug then. Chalamet nailed the mutter, the singing, the physicality - literal goosebumps throughout. Needless to say that Norton aced Seeger too.
Maybe me being woo-wah, but Dylan’s poetry really hitting again in these a-changing times. A well-timed and well crafted biopic.
