  The first part of the movie was so wholesome - and the tragedy brought on to that family hits so brutally after that. Crazy to see that the brazillians (and the cia) did all that just to overthrow what was a nominally center left created by vargas. The imperial machinations in south america in the 60s and 70s were brutal.

  A fun movie, oddly reminiscent of the plot of bloodchild by octavia butler. Not as sharp as bong joon-hos movies, but it was a fun sci fi movie either way a lil bit of anti colonial (even if liberal anti-colonial) themes thrown in.

  Athletes really are bad ppl. Like succession, its about spoilt rich kids being manipulated by someone who is self made. The last tennis scene is insanely well shot and the music was fantastic.
