  exemplifies all the good and bad of an english bong film: it's high concept, wacky, weirdly paced, on the nose, both messy and overly clean, and above all optimistic. manages to be a blend of snowpiercer and okja, yet somehow better than both. i hope bong joonho keeps getting the chance to empty out the bank accounts of major studios to make weird, wish fulfillment scifi.

  also this was very romantic? i need a real lovergirl like nasha!

  a disney channel original movie about an immigrant class traitor who assimilates into the dominant community to the point of actively choosing to enact systemic violence on her own people... set to a surprisingly disappointing soundtrack and featuring some of the worst acting i've ever seen, even for dcom standards.

  hell yeah! i can't believe i never watched this!

  (see i was gonna make a dear evan hansen or god's own country joke but everyone's made it for me)

  love love loved the ending! i was preparing myself to have a hot take but i have none. i don't care that i was sat between two haters (neither hated it) it was just excellent. also the more i see broadway people i knew from my theater kid phase succeeding, the more delighted i am.
