  Noah Baumbach's movies are always a reminder of why I love movies. Although this is not one of my favorites, I found myself really appreciating the subtlety of the writing. I loved the screenplay and the directing feels personal and relaxed which I think ultimately works. Also, the acting is very good and the connection that the characters have with one another while still developing their own emotional response to the situation is very interesting and well crafted, even when the characters themselves are not particularly likable: it's just good writing. I especially liked the ending.
