Anya was good in this! Miles played his role well too but the movie is so aggressively cis het male in its outlook that I don't think the writers ever considered what might make a man at all attractive or charming.
Also if you're gonna make a movie about centered around a really mysterious and creepy gorge I would recommend not thoroughly demystifying the gorge.
