I adore how realistic this movie was. Life can be hard and feel incredibly mundane,but in the end, you don’t need to have a grand ephiphany - you just have to choose yourself. And Taeko’s fifth-grade self helped her do that.
…… Also I feel bad for younger Taeko, perhaps she would’ve gotten better at maths if she was met with more grace.
