Was missing something for me. Can’t put my finger on it just yet. I enjoyed yet I left the theater wanting more. Also, I could have done without Count Orlok having that Stache.
Lilly Rose though will be cast in many period pieces to come. She was spectacular in this.

If I had seen this movie when I was 10 or 12 I know I would have obsessed over every detail. I’d have watched/ read every analysis, made my mom get me the book, look up details to see if anything in the movie was based on true events. But, sadly I’m not.
Seeing this movie now in my twenties was a hard watch. I found a majority of the characters irritating and I wished we had gotten more context…
