    Been reflecting on this show for a while. An uncomfortable and necessary watch. I’m so happy to see this show’s popularity and hope its message(s) and warnings continue to encourage critical reflection and change in challenging the isolating forces affecting today’s youth.     I get this films intent to satirize the societal and patriarchal pressures women face to stay eternally young. However, I couldn’t shake the feeling of wanting more. It really felt like a shallow critique that is stretched repeatedly thin by two characters that lack any substance and indulges in all that it critiques (e.g., male gaze with gratuitous nudity and portraying older bodies as objectively ugly).
