  The Face of Another 1966

  Other than not understanding the third act at all the film's perfect. I think it's criticisms on social fronts were great, Tatsuya Nakadai was fantastic with how expressive he was considering his face was covered for half of the film. I liked the shot composition alot, the music was great and the main character looks great the film's really great, but held back due to its confusing third act and abrupt ending. The film has alot to unpack in terms of themes and stuff that I can't bother to go into, but watch it if the biography sounds cool.

  I enjoyed this movie quite a lot. It's a pretty typical crime story carried by great dialogue and chemistry between realistic characters who interact with each other in a synchronized manner. Often the somewhat lightheartedness of the film gets abruptly cut off with some genuinely shocking scenes that left me pretty startled and these scenes only exist to reaffirm the authenticity of the people involved.
