This rocks and speaks very dearly to my heart, as a person who spent most of my teenage/young adult years in virtual worlds.

It had me remembering dearly the afternoons I spent on sandboxes on Second Life, chatting with unknown people with weird avatars (I remember especially a particularly cool and sympathetic sandwich avatar), dancing and using emotes ("and I miss you/like the deserts misses the rain").

Using Hamlet as a backdrop, it discusses life and death, loneliness and human…

    What a silly, dumb movie...
That being said, I had fun! It reads like a fanfic I would have written when I was 13 - a taciturn man with a dangerous job falls in love with a beautiful, lovely ballerina. As he is ready to tell her about his double life... Surprise, a life threatening disease, he is going to die!

Hmmm...

Such a cool movie! Tension works from the beginning to the end. It offers some beautiful and hauntingly eerie scenes - I particularly liked the ones in which we're shown the reflected image in the mirror and then the real scene.

Lightning is also gorgeous and I think Dario Argento took some inspiration from these neon, bright tones.

Fashion/costuming here is its own show: straight silhouette dresses, boat necklines, kitten heels, cat eyeliner, hair with volume on top, lacy lingerie, all the hits of the mid 60s. Loved it.
