Transcendent. I don’t think I’ve ever had a movie experience quite like it. I have so many thoughts but they all feel half baked cause there’s just so much to unpack. First time I watched this movie I was blown away by the performances but thought some of the writing was a bit manipulative and kinda contrived. Still think that. If someone were to ask me to name 10 filmmakers that have changed the way I look at film David Lynch would be on that list. If they asked me to narrow it down to 5, he’d still be on that list. And if they got all the way down to 1, David Lynch would be on that list.
Thank you for inspiring me and countless others.Translated from by
