This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
There’s a bit where after a long time of saying they’re never ever gonna give up cattle ranching for oil on their dusty ass farm they finally do, and then it hard cuts to the guy sitting on his pool deck with sunglasses next to the tennis court and he says “you know I don’t think selling the ranch really changed us” and no one has reached that level of comedy in film before or since.

I forgot this movie is like three hours long why did they do it that. Watched it as god intended (with friends and only playing attention to the good bits) and it was great. The wedding scene of all time.

Encanto 2021
Very cute, gorgeous animation, love the departure from Big Epic Stories to something more close and intimate.
The songs Sure Were By Lin Manuel Miranda, which is to say they popped the fuck off but also were extremely… a lot. Also, both the songs and the movie in general needed to be longer. A lot of the emotional moments were a bit too rushed to feel entirely earned.
