  So much hornier than I expected. Certainly more of a kind with The Host, Snowpiercer, and Okja than Parasite (though the politics of Parasite are all over this too). Over-the-top satire favouring slapstick and style over subtlety, and I think that's a good thing. Tons of fun.

  Smart, cool, sexy, funny weird. What a gem. Knows exactly how much information to share and withhold right up to the end. The Soderbergh/Koepp partnership has been really stellar, and I can't recommend Kimi and Presence enough, but this may be their best collaboration yet.

  Also, this spy film is comically loaded with Bond actors and prospective Bonds, including Furiosa breakout star Tom Burke. Probably a coincidence, but I dig it.

  Batman & Robin 1997

  I have a real soft spot for this one, and I enjoy the degree to which Schumacher just swings for the fences. He misses, ultimately, but the attempt alone is fun to watch. It's campier than Batman Forever—with all the queer-coded celebration that entails—but it also feels less focused and polished on almost every level. Even at its worst, it's an enjoyable bit of 90s nostalgia.
