  Where nosferatu takes the classic gothic story and just 1 for 1 adapts it, I really respect the way this movie adapts that classic genre. Updated for the modern age in a way that is genuinely as repulsive and disgusting as people found Dorian grey or Jane eyre back at their release, pushing the limit past modern sensibilities. I will never watch this movie again, but it definitely deserves all the award buzz
