Parliament Funkadelic - The Mothership Connection 1976
Parliament and Funkadelic were probably my favorite bands in late high school early college and admittedly I had fallen off a bit listening to them, but this made me feel like a piece of blotter paper, getting dosed with pure Funk by Dr Funkenstein himself, bringing me back to that feeling of listening to them for the first time and being blown away.

Husbands 1970
One of the most visceral experiences of the male psyche put to film. Sure, there’s the boys hanging with each other and having a time, even though it’s prefaced with the mourning of their 4th member. But there’s also an ugliness that arises and the camera never pulls away from, making us reckon with these men. Not really a “fun” watch, as I thought it would be. The Duality of Dudes.
