Would-be child predator traps children and parents in a horror house filled with candy cavities, mischievous men, and scary childhood trauma flashbacks. A kid, whose family should be reported to Child Protective Services, does get some semblance of joy.

Suspiria 1977
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
One of my all time favorite horror films and something I would recommend to everyone. Dario Argento is so vibrant with color while also being devilishly evil. The score by Goblin is an under-appreciated classic. Story and production value: astonishing. One of the many reasons why the 1970’s is my favorite period for filmmaking.

Castle in the Sky 1986
This is what I was looking for in a Hayao Miyazaki film. Absolutely loved this! The world building, story, voice acting (shoutout to Mark Hamil and Cloris Leachman), it was great. Random scene where buff men have a “who can bust out of their shirt with their bare chest” contest.
