First part really had me thinking this would turn out to be a triumph, it wasn’t until the stale satanic ritual tropes came to light that this film started to get duller and more predictable. We really do live in the age of the edit. Caught between theatrical Arthouse and blockbuster sell out, picking one would have had a better pay off. First half was divine, after the return though it was just flipping between one scene to the next, maxed out the intensity so it was just bland once you climatised to the mood.
Aesthetically beautiful, immersive as usual with Eggman.
