  I was struggling to watch during but once it was finished it stuck in my head for a long while after. There are some interesting themes at play- power, control, subjugation - but I ultimately couldn’t find the thread that wove the three stories together.   Really sweet and charming film, had me laughing and smiling all the way through. It's rare that we see this period depicted through not only a woman's eyes, but through a teenage woman's eyes, and a teenage woman who isn't royalty to boot!
