Really? That’s the ending they chose??
10x10 is a revenge thriller where a grieving man kidnapped a woman he blames for his wife’s death. Sounds thin, right? But this Suzi Ewing film proved it has tricks up its sleeve - breezy pacing, believable dialogue, and a pretty setting (imagine living in a house like that sans a detention room). The character motivations and depth are also concrete so it was compelling to dig the plot deeper. The fight scenes kept the momentum up as well.
Acting wise, Kelly Reilly and Luke Evans did great and are both pretty convincing, though the material itself kinda tethers their performances.
The concept of 10x10 is fine, yes, though a more ingenious execution could’ve done wonders. The ending is unbelievable and vapid too - I doubt a garage door can do that, please. Overall, 10x10’s unconvincing conclusion and leashed thrills won’t even touch a lucky 9.
