i had a dream krrish, g one from ra one, chitti from enthiran, shaktimaan and baahubali were all in infinity war and got unduly disappointed when i woke up
a film about the dangers of being down bad for priyanka chopra
Hrithik Roshan stars as Krishna, a young man born with superhuman abilities, who—on arriving in the big city—takes on the masked alter ego of Krrish, attempting to thwart the machinations of an evil businessman with connections to his past.
Krrish sees Bollywood tackle the superhero genre, an attempt to prove the industry could make a blockbuster that might compete with their US counterparts domestically; I think the film manages to pull that off pretty well, lacing in a strong culturally specific feel to the usual ingredients that (even with a myriad of influences) still contains a distinct personality all of its own.
It’s a huge amount of fun, really a combo of Superman, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and Hindu mythology all…
Apparently this is a sequel and I didn’t realize...it’s fine they cover the back story really well.
You white folks have really been sleeping on Hrithik Roshan and Bollywood movies let me tell you. Also I want Krrish to join the Avengers.
In all seriousness this movie is such a fun watch. It’s so funny and captivating that it doesn’t feel like you just sat for a 3 hour film. The plot is just so good and I’m so glad this is a franchise.
This franchise went from silly innocent alien E.T ripoff to Hrithik Roshan racing a fucking horse and jumping off buildings in Singapore.
Jokes aside, in retrospect, this movie isnt bad at all, the nostalgia adds to the rating though. It should have focused more on Krishna slowly piecing together the truth about his father, while dealing with the burden of entering a whole new world, that too as a superhuman, instead of dumb comedy scenes that just serve as filler.
Being a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya (2003), it does a decent job at connecting that story to this basically whole brand new one, without it feeling forced or ruining the character/story progression from the film prior (unlike Krrish 3).
For…
love that the first half of this is just baahubali 1 and then the amazing cursed fashions/cgi aesthetic really kicks in after intermission, hrithik is too cute w/ his soccer mom hair, and i know he's evil but i would die for cyberpunk naseeruddin
it's all about that one random shot of a monkey reacting to hritik's wuxia-style jumping
Sat on this for quite some time because I wanted to do a big review for the last ever screening I would watch for my degree but now it’s all over and I feel a bit empty
Being a screenwriter for Indian films is my new dream job
It's a Bollywood superhero film, so it may just be the greatest thing ever created by a human.
*I'm totally removing my nostalgia so I can review this*
Krrish is probably one of the most organic sequels I've ever seen. It doesn't feel shoe horned in to make an ever expanding cinematic universe or to be a crashgrab. No, it tells a story that demands to be told. Thus far, we've seen the fates of both the grandfather and father, but now we see the fate of the son and how his family's past ties into his own present. It's actually quite sensational when you think about it. As a superhero film, Krrish doesn't adhere to typical tropes you've seen before. It certainly borrows from Hollywood films but it puts a unique spin on them. Essentially, this is…
ok but can your superhero dance to dil na diya this flawlessly
