Mía is an Argentine drama film written and directed by Javier Van De Couter.
Ale is a transvestite who lives humbly in Villa Rosa, a community on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. One day, while making the daily collection of cardboard to recycle (the only source of income), Ale witnesses how a father, Manuel, fights with his adolescent daughter, Julia.
After the argument, the father throws a birthday present, Ale quickly saves it and discovers a diary written by Julia's mother, Mía, who committed suicide. Ale tries to return the diary to the owner but Manuel finds himself inundated with the drink to deal with his sorrows. Ale ends up establishing a friendship with Julia, which in a way unites…
