a must see for anyone with an interest in the possible legal implications of a gorilla becoming a professional baseball player
Confession, I have never watched an Airbud film. Caught the first Beethoven in theatres, maybe K-9, and have a shrine dedicated to Cop Dog – but when it comes to the sporting antics of golden retrievers, it’s not my jam. Mr. Go has me questioning that life choice. Perhaps I’ve misjudged them. If all the Bud movies feature a third act in which the rival sports team bring in a ill temped animal of their own? I’ve been missing out.

walk of life - dire straits needle drop like four times
When Mr. Go hits the baseball I knew instantly this was a heartwarming classic. The moments between Mr. Go and Zhao Wei Wei are touching and Bong Joon-ho wishes he was able to pull this off in Okja. Kim Yong-hwa's craftmanship here is incredible and the fact that this is a co-production between China and Korea makes this a legendary collaboration between two nations.

i watched this movie with my son and it got us to finally talk about what truly matters in this world.
the love of sport. the love of nature. the care of the balance of humanity and how our constructs are changing the outlook of the natural behavior of creatures.
i hugged him as we walked out of the theater and i had a tear in my eye realizing that a CGI gorilla made me feel love for my family again.

Everything you need to know about Mr. Go is that it's about a gorilla who plays professional baseball. That should paint a certain kind of picture in your mind about what kind of film this is, but Mr. Go fails even on that front. What should be a little 90-minute heartwarming film ends up being the exact opposite. I hate that this movie is over two hours long. There are so many unnecessary parts that cause the narrative to completely derail throughout the second act. As a result, Mr. Go fails even on the level of serving as mindless entertainment. It's too long, convoluted, and boring to be a successful 'guilty…
