Panjaa is a blisteringly fun action romp.
Vishnuvardhan goes to Telugu and delivers another stylishly executed action thriller, however it gets letdown by a dull narrative with weak conflict setup. Yuvan strikes with his music. Along with solid actions and decent comedy it makes up for a passable watch.
most stylish pawan kalyan film, with great direction from vishnu vardhan coupled with terrific music of yuvan.
panjaa doesn't really offer anything new. the story is fine, the conflict might be a little underwhelming, and it does have it's fair share of "why is this in the movie" moments. but, what can i say? extremely stylishly executed, intense and engaging all throughout, ... did not expect to love it this much. i will be watching this multiple times again in the future, i just know it.
Where is Sandhya?: Me in 9th class OnThisDay hearing everything about morning show experience of Panjaa at Sandhya from my senior cricket friends and enquiring about its location plus history and crying after coming from school that I didn't get a leave due to some exam... 😭😭😭
Anyway, glad that manifestation of watching a Kalyan film at Sandhya came true the very next year in a bigger manner with you know what!
10 years already and posts dump for the love of PANJAA

The I wanted to talk about was Panjaa starring Pawan Kalyan. The storyline of Panjaa is basically a guy named Jai is the right-hand man for the dreaded don Bhagwan and what happens when Bhagwan wants to kill Jai for an accident that takes place. The word Panjaa apparently means claw so I thought it was a very metaphorically symbolic title. If we think of Bhagwan as a tiger, then Jai is the claws of the tiger. Without the claws, the tiger is just a large cat, and we see this in the movie too. When Jai leaves, Bhagwan slowly loses all his power.
The story of Panjaa could be so much better but it is diluted with comedy tracks and…
First half: Parledhu edho baane undhe
Second half: Deenakka eto dengesthondhi roii
The movie marketed itself as a gangster drama but jumps around romance and family plotlines with little to no emotional connection. The movie ends up being underwhelming, despite the stylish execution.
Such incredibly stylised Pawan Kalyan film that harks back to Tony Scott's films, where you'd see Denzel Washington walking out of a sedan with aviators on. Interestingly plotted and whatever criticism be for the generic idea of second half of the film, it still does something with the central character. He's not a hero, he's a character that is in the mould of genuine persona and played so well by PK.
This was OG, back then itself
nothing like love to escape violence. fuck the cliches. if it bothers you, have you been loyal to anything ever? the pain is like none other.
keanu reeves crying.
the second half of the film had lot of influence from athadu. yuvan and vishnuvardhan masterclass.
