  It’s so weird to see Spenny acting like a normal human. It’s so less entertaining than Kenny vs. Spenny but this documentary was still interesting and pretty funny.

  Okok, this is a pretty interesting little documentary right here.

  Firstly, just to get this out of the way, I am a big fan of Kenny vs. Spenny. I've been a fan of the show for years and growing up in the Greater Toronto Area the show was kind of a big deal. Not cultural staple big but me and all the other immature boys in my age group crrtainly dug it quite a bit. I have seen every episode multiple times and it holds up incredibly well and is super re-watchable (much in the same way that Jackass is).   A realistic and depressing look at the screenwriting side of the film industry. Despite their constant discouragement, this is an entertaining insight into pitching. 

  I couldn't help but cringe when they met Roger Ebert and he kept essentially roasting them.

  "You'll never make it."

  Early documentary from Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice. Basically shows just how difficult it is trying to pitch a script and break into the movie industry. In a way I'm glad there script never got picked up, because if that happened we might never of got the 'Kenny Vs Spenny' show. So it really did all work out in the end...for us.

  i think(?) i’ve watched this before but i honestly forgot so much of it that this felt like a first-time watch. so i’ll be logging it as such. 

  this is a pretty surreal view of Kenny Hotz and Spencer/Spenny Rice, after my having grown up with Kenny vs Spenny and being exposed to these fellas at their most…untamed(?) 

  nevertheless, this is a pretty wholesome and grounded documentary-style film. you can tell that it’s helmed by Kenny because he really brings the passion to the craft between the two of them, but Spenny is not without his “special qualities” to put it lightly.

  "We'll do lunch!"

  Pitching a script seems like hell; pitching a script in the 90's somehow seems worse. A surprisingly insightful documentary about two idiots trying to pitch a movie script in Toronto and L.A. There are some funny moments as Kenny and Spencer attempt to talk shop with industry figureheads from different studios and agencies, and sell them on one of the dumbest script ideas I've ever heard. Their endearing buffoonery is heartwarming enough to wade through the onslaught of cringeworthy encounters, especially the awkward one with Roger Ebert!

  Kenny vs Spenny stars Kenny and Spencer try their luck as screenwriters and pitch their script about a transsexual mafia boss to all sorts of people all over Hollywood.

  I really like Kenny Vs Spenny, so it was interesting to see where these guys started. An interesting movie with plenty of cameos, in a very 90s indie way of course. I liked it.
