To the people that I talked to who've seen "Yes Man" have said the same thing. "It's not Carry's best movie", and I do agree that it's not on the same level as "The Mask", "Dumb and Dumber" or the brilliant masterpiece that is "Eternal Sunshine", but I honestly don't think it's has bad as some people are pointing it out to be.

Studio Head: Hey remember that hit movie they did with Jim Carrey where he was forced to tell the truth, to great comedic effect?
Staff: Sure, that was 'Liar Liar'.
Studio Head: Well he did that over a decade ago so let's do it again.
Staff: So a 'Liar Liar' sequel starring Steve Carell?
Studio Head: No, that did not work out so well last time. We definitely need Jim Carrey ... how about this time he is kind of an asshole, but then gets forced to say Yes to everything?
