I watched this movie after reading the news about extermination camps in Jalisco, Mexico. I was the only one crying at the theater. I needed a movie that actually portrayed the ever lasting trauma of oppression in Latin America.

To think that there’s people to this day suggesting the military dictatorships weren’t dictatorships, that the suffering of the victims, the disappearances, the grieving isn’t real, it’s sickening and enraging to the bone.

We shall never forget the crimes of operation…

Was it me or was Andrew Garfield a lil bit of a dick?

I have a particular distaste for those 90s American movies where these academic characters can solve their problems by being “a good person.” They all look the same, they all have the same corny music, their problems are never dealing with real life poverty or politics but rather an idealized version of them but portray themselves as realistic. Ala Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society and Scent of a Woman. I really can’t stand them.

    Shawshank gave immediately the same…

Perhaps the most mid movie I’ve ever watched ever.
