    Sing Sing

    ★★★★★

    Pros:
    - Outstanding performances across the board
    - Great direction/cinematography
    - Good pacing
    - Landed its emotional punches effectively
    - Avoided nearly all the tropes I would expect to get from a prison setting
    - Loved the message/themes/commentary, everything it had to say

    Cons:

Summary: I was enthralled by this movie from the start. I can't really explain it, but it is really great.

  • The Merry Gentlemen

    The Merry Gentlemen

    ★★½

    Pros:
    - Good pacing. It flew by.
    - Chad Michael Murray is good
    - Leans in to tropes and cliches without giving a frig

    Cons:
    - Weird concept for a movie when you think about it
    - A sizable chunk of the cast had questionable acting ability
    - Needed some more tension to make it more interesting

Summary: It's fine for what it is. I have not a lot to say here.

    ★★★★

    Pros:
    - Incredibly powerful story
    - Might prompt viewers to do something about predators they know in their life

    Cons:
    - Super hard subject matter to watch to the point of being almost too much to stomach

    Triangle

    ★★★★

    Pros:
    - Short runtime with great pacing
    - Love a good mindbender
    - Everybody played their role effectively
    - Melissa George was great

    Cons:
    - Cannot really say without spoiling things, but I wanted a little more of the attempts

Summary: I absolutely love these types of movies. To avoid spoilers, I’ll just say I think this does the gimmick effectively.
