AMC Hoffman.
This was a good movie, but it was a hard movie to watch. Jonathan Majors is remarkable: just witness his physical transformation and you can see an actor who put everything into this role. He plays this character with great care and skill. This film is billed more as a sports drama about someone who is basically driven to madness by his obsession to the sport, and it is that. But it’s also about someone who is profoundly…
Alamo Drafthouse Crystal City. Terror Tuesday. Just Kidman (Alamo series).
I’ve been wanting to see this film for so long, and it did not disappoint. I did not find it scary, but it was suspenseful and a good psychological thriller. I knew going in that the film had a big twist, and I did figure out the twist pretty early on (though not what Nicole Kidman’s character did to her kids—that managed to surprise me). I would have loved to…

Also, it’s frustrating that the MCU is so sprawling that these movies seem to be referencing TV shows that many moviegoers, including myself, have not watched and probably never will watch. It feels like you’re missing something,…
