“We are but a frightened nanosecond. Nature is timeless.”
“You will eat less than you desire and more than you deserve.”
Very much liked this movie and what it had to offer, shoutout redhead Taylor-Joy. The commentary inside the movie on culture, critics outside culture, and those trying to forcibly include themselves was great. The presentation at times is very perfectly clichè. Some nice personal twists regarding the cast but overall movie is shot very well, flowed well and didn’t really have a dull moment. Very Midsommar like in a way, but more concise. Definitely a favorite tho

They knew that white girl was in a suicide cult, took her meds away from her, fucked with her for days on end in the middle of a snow storm, killed her dog, and then was like “haha lol jk”…. Yeah yo they poked the fuck outta that bear and it ate everybody jeez. Great eats tho some religious trauma can always make a good film

Premise was great, really the tarot card lore and the card designs themselves. Cast wasn’t great and them being super oblivious to what’s happening till close to the end, was also annoying. Certain sequences were executed nicely but overall, very eh movie. Could be remade better w someone else’s touch. Not worth the cinematic experience tho

Very unsettling at times, more of a thriller than a horror. Presentation was great all around from the cinematography to the soundtrack. Liked the main character too. First act was great, second act was good till bout halfway, third act / climax were alright. Certain elements felt forced and took the steam out the intensity. Plot twist was enjoyable but pretty predictable. Not so much “scary” but unsettling at times for sure.
