After a particularly exhausting day; treated myself with a cute comedy and uh-oh! This is a LOT at times!

Real good tho! An already tight and smart script that is sold so well by an amazing cast! Pointedly ‘sold so well’ and not ‘elevated’ because the material is already so good and I feel ‘elevate’ often makes me think the original product isn’t good. In this case it is and each cast member just does enough to have their own…

    Da greatest…

I mean, what more needs to be said?
If anything, having this watched as a ‘child from hell’ double feature with Son of the Mask followed by Eraserhead was amazing. One movie is a literal nightmare - with a dreamlike logic that seeps into your brain and fills you with a silent dread…

And the other is Son of the Mask!!!
    Nyuck, nyuck!!!!

Some of my friends worked on this!

    Good for them!

During one scene- the main character is looking over her hometown with her friend and states how good the view it. This prompts the friend character to remark that the view isn’t nearly as impressive as the view overlooking the magical city of Narmere. My friend who was sitting next to me remarked “Shut up bitch” in a voice that was not loud but loud enough that I had to shush him in pure embarrassed shock and giggling. Movies are about a tension we can’t get in life.
