    Promising Young Philistine.
Never slap a girl on the first date. I love Kyle Gallner. The plot? Not so much. The love hurts theme was tiresome and painfully pretentious. We get it.

The hunting scenes are by far the best but not frequent enough. It has some interesting bizarre characters that show signs of a more interesting landscape. They aren't utilized. The creepy megaphone speakers? Don't worry about it. Hotel staff acting like Wes Anderson characters? Ok.

I find audio centric films to be disturbing in a unique way. That's why Pontypool is one of my favorites. I went back and watched this thanks to the main actor playing a memorable character in Uncut Gems and Succession. I can say without a doubt, that might be the most disturbing and visceral film I've ever seen. And I've watched pretty much everything. It's surrealism meets body horror. And it proves something we all know. There is no monster meaner, than... Yourself. Cronenberg would be proud.

I found the duo of Farley and Perry to be extremely charming. By far the best parts of the film are when the moronic men accompanying them tell stories. The pudding story will live in your brain rent free after watching this. Also seeing Farley's facial expression every time he made eye contact with the eagle... gut busting laughter. It made me miss him. I loved this the first time I watched it and even more the second. Good low stakes cheesy comedy.
