Overall, a little disappointing
There’s a lot here I love, maybe more than what I didn’t. The cinematography, costumes and sets are unique and vibrant, which really contributes to the wacky sci-fi world building it was attempting to pull off. I loved the satire here, especially because it veers into Terry Gilliam territory and made the entire film a fun watch despite some of my personal problems with it.

There wasn’t anything inherently wrong with this film, but I felt an absence of a key climactic scene towards the end that could’ve “swept me off my feet” more. The lighting is beautiful and glowy(?) and all the performances are great. I liked the dynamics and parallels between the three couples and I’m sure there were some interesting/more complex details that flew over my head (being in high school and stuff)
