When I saw TO LIVE & DIE IN L.A. in L.A., annoying hipsters treated it like a comedy. Yes, William Petersen poses & cocks his head in every shot but his character is the cock of the walk. He's an actor playing an actor. He's Narcissus & his partner is Echo. The swagger IS the point.
