  Batman evolves once again. Matt Reeves plunges us into darkness and the seedy underbelly of Gotham for the majority of the film. This is the intriguing part. Seeing the cities politicians mingling with crime lords. Colin Farrell (yes that's him) as Penguin - more akin to Al Capone. John Turturro as Falcone.   Forget Everything You Have Ever Seen: The World of Santa Sangre 2011

  ★★★½ Rewatched 21 Feb 2022

  All four of Jodorowsky's sons have roles in Santa Sangre from lead to background players. This, like all of Jodo's films, is very personal. And to truly make sense of this visceral flick it helps to have a guide. This film does just that.

  Fellini Forward 2021

  Just watched Fellini Forward on Amazon Prime. Interesting to say the least. More background here: www.unit9.com/project/campari-fellini-forward Basically feeding the "soul" of Fellini into AI and then bringing in actual crew and family as advisors and human input to create a Fellini-esque film. Interesting experiment to say the least. The exercise may be more interesting than the result.

  It was probably best that I did not know anything going into this movie. So if you are reading this and have not seen "Mortal" recommend not reading any further. Go and watch the film and then come back.
