  Batman, visually, has never looked better; the suit, the tech, Gotham itself is perfect. I loved the emphasis on him being an actual detective, but it did lose momentum here and there and was maybe not as exciting as I anticipated it would be. The action hits when it needs too, but this is not an “MCU formula” superhero movie and I definitely appreciated the dark tone and storytelling that allowed me to be invested in the film’s slow burn

  Set in Comanche territory in 1719, prey follows a young tracker looking to prove herself as a hunter. The setting effectively strips down the story and delivers a simple and straightforward plot that executed its action well. The environment is well realized, especially sound design of echoing hatchet strikes and I loved pairing the creaking of swaying trees with the iconic clicking of the Predator.
