sure don’t like Western BIPOC rep that caricatures the originating cultures, but this movie should have committed to being more satirical hahahaa like there were some balls to the walls silly jokes, but they could’ve dialled it up? ‘twas fun regardless!
love Simone Ashley, but I did not expect Sindhu Vee to be such a scene stealer, loved her arc + their whole bit.
I did not think such an important character would be that man, Mr Clinton.
I called the ending in the two seconds they planted it, but the movie was still silly as shit, love that • they made Kristen Bell run SO much, oh my god, poor girl • the most interesting plot line of Josh Duhamel’s supposed super strength(?!) is criminally never explained or explored • god I miss the 2000s for shoving the most extravagantly coined (yes, yes) together set up and just hoping that we buy in to it (I do, all the time, we need more)
unfortunately for me any portrayal of family & friends navigating their loved one’s illness will 100% result in tears, I had to pause and come back to it a few hours later 😭
