The Brutalist 2024
Masterful directing and acting in this gigantic film by Mr. Corbet. I love that his films have a slow burn but an organic way of storytelling that doesn’t feel dragged out. Adrian Brody gives his best performance since The Pianist. He transforms and I was not mad at staring at his glorious nose for 215 minutes. A silly film but fun film. All Jared huess’ films are like this. But although I loved the back and forth of the real sci-fi story vs the Plagiarized story, the script and film itself felt uninspired . Great performances from Coolidge and clement, though.

One of Them Days 2025
Keke Palmer is and always will be a STAR. Put her in everything. Her charisma shines and brings a refreshing take on a struggled character dealing with adult problems. Sza as her supporting character? Perfect chemistry. It’s nice to know this film exists in a world with lots of trauma and melancholy. This film tackles those struggles but lets us know that the universe will eventually have our backs if we are pure people at heart.
