when i was growing up, this was on TBS or TNT or something like every weekend and i would always catch it in bits. it took years before i got to see it in its entirety in one sitting. that may be a part of the reason why i feel like every single scene in this movie is done so intentionally, but idk, i just watched it again and i feel like it’s the perfect teen romcom of that particular era by miles.
