The Blue Iguana 1988
Well, this was definitely... something. In better hands, it could have had potential. The Blue Iguana is a pulpy neo-western/neo-noir, filmed in southern Mexico and produced by my compatriot, Mr. Sighvatsson. It's a noble effort, but ultimately a failure.

Mission: Impossible II 2000
M:I-2 improves slightly when taken purely as a John Woo film without any attempt to connect it to the rest of the Mission Impossible series. It's still not good and has that distinct "soda commerical" look of the early 2000s that I dislike so much, but simply as auteur theory fodder it's not without merit.
