  in a just world ramell ross wins best director at the oscars but some people (the academy) aren’t ready for that conversation…

  the use of perspective in this film blew me away—I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. the cinematography as well is so hauntingly beautiful in the way it pulls you into the character’s world. this is gonna be one of those films studied in classrooms one day :,)

  listen, I don't know what truly went down in the Menendez brothers' case; no one but them ever really will (unless new evidence comes to light). I don't know how much to believe in either side, but this show just felt wrong. it lacked the objectivity needed to portray a case like this fairly and all in all, felt really exploitative. the way everything was sensationalised (and weirdly sexualised?) just adds to the trivial manner in which the media continues to portray this case.

  this was so pretentious at times it hurt!! joachim trier is capable of such beautiful filmmaking but this just felt hollow compared to his other bodies of work.
