I don't think it's that scary. Definitely creepy. Was warned that the dialogue would be hard to get used to because its Ye Olde style but I didn't see that as a problem, especially with subtitles. I really liked the uncertainty of who was good or evil throughout the movie and the cool, like, almost prophetic nature of ATJ's character becoming a witch at the end.
