Adolescence 2025
Compelling drama grounded in reality and very contemporary dangers.
The one-shot thing is more than a feat, but takes this heightened naturalism and plurality of emotions to the next level.
Excellent limited series that is a must-watch of the year.

Mickey 17 2025
Surprised and pleased about its absurdist satirical sense of humour.
As many have said before, pales in comparison to Bong’s work in his native tongue and really lacks subtlety in its didactic narrative and imagery.
Nonetheless an entertaining ride and big film that makes you enjoy the cinematic experience despite flaws.
Bonus points for a prominent Tim Key.
