This film affected me deeply and, in my opinion, portrays the times of the DDR very realistically. In terms of acting, it was a masterpiece. No other actor could have played this movie better. Overall, the film impressively and captivatingly depicted the negative sides of the DDR era, especially towards the final years.
RIP Ulrich Mühe who played this role to perfection with terminal cancer!
