Finally watched the extended edition, aside from some dodgy editing earlier on with scenes that felt shoehorned in, it still fills me with a powerful sense of nostalgia and child-like wonder towards the world of Middle Earth. I'd argue that's the result of having some of the greatest music ever composed for film.

Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor 2013
a perfect end to probably my favourite doctor, I just wish the episode had slightly better pacing and focused more on the big moments because this is easily one of the best stories written in the series
