Very creative practical effects and iconic imagery, there is dream inside dream inside dream, and Freddy Krueger, the classic fear of dying in a nightmmare but with the boogie man, who can manipulate nightmare reality and goof around with that power which was very well explored.

No editing what so ever, a character walks slowly for a whole minute and walks and walks, a character slowly squats, opens a door, and walks, goes upstairs slowly and talks to some people, a minute going here, a minute going there, slowly and repeat... mentioning stuff that was said in the movie dozens of minutes ago that you probably forgot already, it's not a very intuitive movie. They are portraying dreams but there's too much dialogue with randomic stuff…
