  This is such an odd little movie. Removing nostalgia and watching the shaky camera switching POVs, the almost 15 minute fight scene through the camp at the climax, and the ending with Jason in the lake (not to mention the future retcons and retcons of retcons). It’s an odd but charming slasher that didn’t quite know what it was.

  I’ve seen this movie plenty of times before. After the exposition dump around the start of Act 2 you know exactly where the movie is going. The setting is beautiful so the visuals are gorgeous.
