Liz and the Blue Bird 2018
Beautiful film about love sometimes meaning letting go. I absolutely adore its animation, especially how much feeling and characterization is conveyed with body language, even in an animated medium. And of course, top tier voice acting and musical score.
The film is set in the same world/time as the Sound Euphonium anime series, so you'll miss some side character context, but the film 100% holds up standalone without that context.
