This fresh take on a Green Lantern storyline was a sight to see, with John Stewart being the center of attention of the Green Lantern Corps. A plot with all the Guardians dead and Hal Jordan turning rogue is a bold move by DC. Although I did not like the Hal part as he is my favorite Lantern. 8 years after its release, It still has the x factor to scare the shit out of me. The modern film adaptation of Stephen King's novel perfectly encapsulates the terrifying dancing clown, Pennywise. The casting for the film was also perfectly executed. Who would have thought that Bill Skarsgard would make a horrifying clown. Overall, this film should serve as a blueprint for future movie adaptions of King's novels.

Finally got the chance to see this classic film and all I can say is I'm in awe of everything; the direction, screenplay, and cast. This movie definitely deserved all of the nominations from the Academy Awards. Aside from the great acting and writing, the film also has the most memorable lines. A 5/5 movie indeed.

What a fun and hilarious film that tackles the stereotypical plot of black characters being the first one to die in a horror movie. Although it is an obvious take on parodying films such as Cabin in the Woods and Scream, it has a legitimate plot and surprising twist at the end. The blending of horror cliche plots and exploring the African-American culture is a refreshing take in this current era considering most horror and comedy films right now are in a cookie-cutter format.
