“The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie” is not only playing with language in cinema but also with the bourgeoisie. the structure of the film mimics what we have already seen in classic cinema (which, by the way, is very good) characters talking, everyday situations, but suddenly, we are in a dream, within another dream, at a dinner that never happens.
we expect a logic in the dialogues, in the actions, but everything in the film deceives us.
